Celebrating 20 Years Of Saving Businesses Money

Honesty. Transparency. Accountability. Flexibility. This is our DNA. The principles that define who we are as a not-for-profit, that distinguish us from the other players in the field, and that — forgive the less-than-humble perspective — make us the better option for your business. Our “strength in numbers” strategy, which lets us buy energy for your electricity at the lowest price, has consistently outperformed the regulated utilities in New York. The savings are then passed on to you. And you, in turn, pass on positive reviews to other business owners who come aboard and help create even greater savings for the Co-op. Ah, the circle of savings.

WHO CAN BE A MEMBER OF THE COOPERATIVE?

Any New York State business or commercial operation can apply for membership and start saving on energy costs immediately.

These businesses include:

  • Manufacturing/Industrial operations
  • Colleges & Universities
  • Hospitals
  • Nursing homes
  • Office buildings
  • Apartment complexes
  • Retail stores
  • Restaurants

A FLAT NOMINAL FEE IS ALL OUR MEMBER PAY

No mark-ups. No profit margin. We bill you the wholesale price we pay plus a nominal flat administrative fee based on the volume you use. There is no incentive for our members to buy energy at higher prices:

Here’s a current example of the fee:

Natural Gas:
Fee of $0.11 per thousand cubic feet (Mcf)

Electric:
Fee of $0.0012 per kilowatt hour (Kwh)
